Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has won numerous awards for her works. She is a proponent of human rights for animals. Her work has received acclaim by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). The desire to become an artist was inspired from her childhood in an New York family of artists. Beginning she was employed as an assistant to photographers. Later on, her career shifted towards modeling and directing. She received her Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw was a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was selected for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within three years, she was named the most popular female box-office participant in the entire world. Her footprints from 1972 along with her signature were engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. She has starred in several different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and TV miniseries The Winds of War among many others. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw has been married three times.
