Lita Rossana Ford (also known in the form of Lita Ford) is an British born American guitarist who was as the lead vocalist for The Runaways a female hard rock band in the 70s. The group was admired for their provocative lyrics and punkish fashion. Though the group didn't achieve much success in America however they became extremely popular internationally. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford was able to enjoy a long and prosperous career as a solo artist after the group split together in 1979. She took vocal lessons and released her first solo album 'Out for Blood followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford went missing for several years from the music scene following the albums' failure to draw any attention. The hit album "Lita" was launched by Ford in 1988. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' both became big success. Her success was unfortunately brief and after a couple of additional years she was absent. Then she returned after the release of 'Black in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' nearly 15 years after. In 2016, she released her latest studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
